This is a very common dipping sauce in Mauritius, typically served with deep fried snacks, stir fried noodles or even fried rice!
garlic dipping sauce / sauce l’ail
- 25 ml brown vinegar
- 40 ml water
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 bird's eye chilli chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- Combine all ingredients and stir well until all the sugar and salt have dissolved.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference (salt, sugar, chilli).
